Nose was developed to foster olfactive curiosity. In this first edition we explore smell from a broad perspective, touching on history, science, language, culture and personal experience.

One theme to emerge from developing this first issue is the intersection between the personal and the collective. We all have a nose, but what we notice, remember, and respond to can be totally different. This has made it a rich space for conversation, which we hope continues beyond these pages.
